Lauren Bennett Had “Severe Reaction” to Medication Months Before Death, Says Dad
More details about Lauren Bennett’s tragic death have come to light four months later.
The G.R.L. singer known for her feature in LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” died by suicide at age 36, assistant coroner Jyoti Gill shared during an Oct. 30 inquest at Kent and Medway Coroners’ Court in the U.K., according to Metro.
Gill said Bennett had told her partner Kenny Wormald that she was going for a walk around 9 a.m. on May 29, but she never returned home. After using a location tracking app, Wormald, along with Bennett’s dad Richard Bennett, later found her dead in a nearby woodland.
Bennett had been hospitalized in January for what Gill called “substantial psychological suffering” and had “continued to report symptoms of distress regarding the effects of prescribed medication” after her release.
At the time of her death, the musician was in the care of “special mental health services” and had a meeting with those services days before she died, according to Gill.
