What’s the next big title from Sony after Spider-Man: Brand New Day?

Why, it’s their co-production with Nintendo, the live action-take of video game Zelda, which got a title today, The Legend of Zelda. The Wes Ball directed movie’s release date remains April 30, 2027.

 The Legend of Zelda was the first game in the series launched for the Family Computer system in Japan in 1986. The film is produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, Representative Director and Fellow of Nintendo, and Avi Arad, Chairman of Arad Productions Inc. Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. co-financed the movie with more than 50% provided by the former

Bo Bragason will star as Zelda, and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link. As Deadline first told you, Uli Latukefu is playing the villain, Ganondorf. Also, the late Sam Neill filmed his role before passing. Severance‘s Dichen Lachman and The Handmaid’s Tale‘s Yvonne Strahovski also star.
