It could be a false alarm, but it looks like Chanel’s headed to the hospital.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-10-26 have her wondering if she’s in labor.

The soap loves false labor stories, but if Chanel is having her baby, it’s the worst possible time for her and Johnny.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers for the Week of 8-10-26 Have Johnny Keeping a Terrible Secret

While the spoilers don’t say exactly what the secret is, it undoubtedly has to do with EJ.

Johnny has been frustrating me lately because he keeps doing EJ’s dirty work while swearing that he will disown his father if EJ ever asks again.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-10-26 suggest that Johnny will be wrestling with his conscience, and EJ has no shortage of secrets he could be manipulating his son to keep.

The Lexie secret is probably the most potent right now. EJ already told Johnny that Kristen tried to kill him and that he was trying to get revenge on Kristen, so I suppose that he could want Johnny to keep that to himself — but what would be the point?

But Lexie is hovering between life and death and doesn’t want Abe and Theo to know because she doesn’t want them to suffer through watching her die a second time.

Only in Salem could that ever be an issue, but that’s beside the point — EJ is caught between Lexie’s final wishes, his selfish desire to make money off the failed resurrection drug, and his knowledge that he’s denying Abe and Theo the ability to say goodbye.

Further Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-10-26 suggest that Chad and Theo will find Lexie’s lifeless body this week. Ugh, that’s going to be an incredibly sad ending to this ridiculous story.

I’m still not happy that the writers brought Lexie back only to kill her off so quickly.

I wasn’t a fan of this story anyway. It had too many problems, not the least of which was that Rolf already had a resurrection drug that kept people alive, even if they woke up with amnesia, yet that drug magically ceased to exist because it interfered with this plot.

Abe’s behavior was beyond the pale, too — he immediately accepted Paulina’s decision to move out and more or less forgot about her existence because Lexie was his one true love.

Paulina was right when she said she would not be his consolation prize. That’s exactly how he’s treated her since this story began, and that completely ruined Abe’s character.

Plus, this entire conflict was unnecessary, since Lexie would only survive for a few weeks in Salem time. It reminds me of when Bo returned and then immediately died of a brain tumor — it seemed pointless to bring a legacy character back to life only to kill them off again, and the same is true here.

It appears Theo is going to force the truth out of EJ — or will EJ tell another, desperate lie to throw him off the trail?

According to the spoiler video, Theo will go full DiMera on his uncle, making unspecified threats unless EJ shows him where his mother is.

That doesn’t seem to fit Theo’s character, but it should make for some good drama!

Despite EJ’s belief that he’s winning against Titan, he seems to be losing on all fronts.

The FBI is closing in on him, Gabi’s allied herself with his enemies and paid off at least part of Titan’s bill, Holly now knows the truth about how she was poisoned and framed, and Johnny is constantly ordering EJ to stop asking for favors.

EJ’s downfall might be fun — especially because we all know he won’t go down without a huge fight, Dimera style.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-10-26 confirm that he and Rita make a desperate move — now what?

I also wonder how Chanel’s potential labor will complicate this. Despite all of his flaws, EJ does want a relationship with his grandchildren, and if Chanel’s labor is premature or she is at all at risk of losing that baby, EJ will pull out all the stops to keep his unborn grandchild safe.

EJ isn’t the only one making a desperate move. Xander is supposed to do so as well.

I don’t like that spoiler at all. The main reason I can’t tolerate Xander and Sarah as a couple is that it is always this toxic cycle: Xander swears to do better, only to do something shady that causes Sarah to throw him out when she finds out.

It’s obvious these two are endgame, so if we’re going there, Xander and Sarah both need to change for real, and Xander doing weird and shady stuff doesn’t help matters any.

Meanwhile, the Gwen/Leo/Dmitri nonsense doesn’t appear to be anywhere near over, although Rafe is finally going to catch up with the captives and their kidnapper.

I wish that would be the end of this. This story is torturous to watch and ruins the show every time it’s on. But Rafe will likely be unsuccessful or end up kidnapped too, to keep the story going.
