If you love Xander and Sarah, aka Xarah, this is your week.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-03-26 take a huge step toward putting this couple back together.
I’m not happy about it, but I know a lot of people are — and even though they’re not my favorite, at least it’s not the sadness that’s about to visit the Carvers!

The Timing is Awful, But Xarah Appears to Be Going Full-Steam Ahead
Over the past several weeks, Brady has been there for Sarah every step of the way with this awful tainted-drug story, whether it was comforting her after she lost Destiny or trying to help her with the Holly situation.
Yes, he was totally wrong about Holly, and so was Sarah, but that’s not the point. Brady made her his priority and was there to comfort, encourage, and bring her coffee as needed.
So after all that, for Sarah to suddenly decide that Xander is the one for her would be cruel, even if Xander was instrumental in proving that Holly wasn’t doing drugs.
Seriously, there are no words for how much I hate that whole story. I’m irritated that the death of Sarah’s patient was nothing more than a vehicle to push her and Xander back together, and the Holly nonsense made this story even worse.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-03-26 say Philip will scheme to ensure that Sarah and Xander get stuck together.
I’m not a fan of that type of trope to begin with, or of love triangles where someone — usually a woman — bounces back and forth between two men and can’t seem to choose one. So this storyline was obviously not written to be the kind of thing I enjoy!
Plus, as one of the few Sarah and Brady fans out there, I absolutely hate the idea of Sarah kicking Brady to the curb to get back together with the man who she keeps rejecting for being predictably violent.
Hopefully, this will at least be a slow burn.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8-03-26 say that Sarah “can’t seem to shake” her feelings for Xander. That suggests that Sarah is conflicted and not ready to feel this way about her ex-husband.

That’s more realistic than jumping into bed with Xander and then realizing afterward she forgot she had a different partner. (Yes, I’m looking at you, Abe — the way you dumped Paulina for Lexie without a second thought still irks me.)
That said, I hope this doesn’t become one of those things where Sarah knows deep down that she wants Xander but hangs onto Brady because she thinks she should want him. That’s not fair to Brady either, not that dumping him suddenly would be.
Honestly, though, Sarah working as a team with both guys has been the one bright spot in the Holly debacle, so I hope this new revelation about Sarah’s feelings doesn’t ruin that. If she can maintain a friendship with both of them no matter which one she’s with romantically, I suppose I can live with that.
Speaking of which, Holly will finally learn the truth about who framed her! This should be good.
Holly has been insisting that EJ is one of the few people who believed in her, that he is as much of a stepfather to her as he was when he and Nicole were married, and that he’s got her back with Amy Choi and everything else.

When she learns that EJ was the one who was responsible for poisoning her in the first place and then planted drugs in her bag to throw Sarah and Brady off the trail, that should be devastating.
I hope that the writers take all of Holly’s history into account with this one. We’re not just talking about EJ doubly betraying her, which is bad enough — Holly has been poisoned by ex-BFF Sophia, struggled with depression, and ended up sick and accused of using drugs right after she finally agreed to try antidepressants.
And that doesn’t even take into account the fact that she only learned about a year ago that stepfather Eric was the drunk driver responsible for taking her father’s life before Holly was born.
Do you hope Holly has a dramatic emotional response to learning about EJ’s betrayal?

As an aside, since Holly learned that Eric killed Daniel in the middle of Brady being falsely accused of driving drunk and running Sarah over, Brady should have known better than to assume Holly was using!
Anyway, Holly should have a total breakdown — the kind of soap drama I live for, with emotion so intense that it makes me wonder if the person needs inpatient mental health treatment.

Holly is set to leave Days of Our Lives around the end of the year or beginning of next, so she’s not running away or getting sent to Bayview just yet, but this betrayal might be the beginning of the end for her life in Salem.
How can she possibly be comfortable in a town where so much has happened that involves other people attacking her physical and mental health?
Days of Our Lives Spoilers For The Week of 8-03-26 Suggest We May Need Tissues…
Lexie’s collapse this past Friday is the beginning of another ending.

EJ’s plan for Kristen goes sideways, so he’ll likely find Lexie. In fact, some spoilers suggest he’ll take her home to live out her last days in the mansion.
Hopefully, Abe and Theo will learn the truth and get to say goodbye properly. I hope Abe doesn’t go running straight to Paulina afterward — that would be so insulting to her, considering how quickly Abe abandoned their marriage to reconcile with Lexie.
Theo is supposed to pour his heart out to Stephanie, while Joy has yet another emergency that requires Alex’s attention.
Could someone please call Chloe? She did this same constant calling act when Parker was a baby and Daniel was with Jennifer, so surely she can help get her younger sister in line.
And I’m saying that as someone who is far more on Joy’s side than Stephanie’s with this whole thing! That’s how bad this never-ending series of emergency calls is.

Meanwhile, Kristen obviously escapes her fate, as she dresses as Susan to secretly visit Rachel — but what’s next for her?
Kristen is leaving Salem soon, with no return date so far, so this story has to be almost over.
