Joann McEniry (she/her), Chief Executive Officer Designee
Joann McEniry (she/her) is a licensed social worker with over 25 years of experience in program development, advocacy, and social justice initiatives for marginalized communities. She has been nominated by the Board of Trustees of EDGE New Jersey, a non-profit PRIDE and wellness center dedicated to promoting healthy and authentic living for the HIV and LGBTQ+ communities, to serve as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer. Prior to her current position, McEniry served as EDGE’s Chief Strategic and Operating Officer for over two decades. She is a member of the Social Work department at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she teaches graduate-level coursework focused on equipping future social workers with the tools to engage in advocacy and policy initiatives for vulnerable and oppressed populations. Appointed by Senator Cory Booker during his term as Mayor of Newark, McEniry oversees HIV community health planning for five counties in New Jersey.
