Joanna Sternberg, Rostam, and Wednesday are among the artists who have recorded covers for a new Fader Label compilation benefitting trans rights organizations. The collection is out today and will be live on Bandcamp for one month, whereupon it will be taken down for good for all those who did not make the purchase. Check out the album below.

Some to look out for: Joanna Sternberg and Caroline Rose cover each other; Wednesday do “Christian Brothers” from Elliott Smith’s self-titled album; Ezra Furman takes on Big Thief’s “12,000 Lines”; DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ records a version of Kylie Minogue’s “It’s No Secret”; Rostam covers Lucinda Williams’ “Change the Locks”; Fire-Toolz enlists Sling Beam to cover Rush’s “Tai Shan”; and Georgia Anne Muldrow does Tina Turner’s “The Best.”

All profits will be split evenly between the Transgender Law Center, in the United States; Mermaids, in the United Kingdom; and the Rainbow Railroad in Canada. Chicago Mastering donated mastering services.
