José González has shared a DJ Koze remix of his Local Valley track “Tjomme.” He‘s also announced new U.S. tour dates, adding 13 shows in March in between legs in Europe. Check out “Tjomme” [DJ Koze Remix] and the full list of dates below.
Of the original, González said in a statement: “‘Tjomme’ is a song about hearsay and dudes (tjomme in Swedish slang). Overconfident doomsday dudes and the dudes that follow.” Koze said of the remix: “I tried to transform the soul of this song to the dancefloor, a dancefloor without pressure and anxiety. A dancefloor on which I would love to lose myself with eyes wide closed.”
González released Local Valley, his first new album in more than five years, last month. He recently completed a run of tour dates with Rufus Wainwright. In September DJ Koze shared a remix of Lakou Mizik & Joseph Ray’s “Sanba Yo Pran Pale.”
