The Ark’s Showrunners Tease Fans With Season 2 Finale

Television News

The boys are back in space! The wonderful showrunners of The Ark were gracious enough to stop by TV Fanatic for another chat. With an interview before the pilot and another before the finale, we have come full circle!

The series has made incredible strides in diversifying its episodes, and it has paid off. Despite a hiccup or two, the show has maintained its course through character development.

Honestly, the characters are why we signed up for The Ark, right? It’s all about human interaction and how the crew of The Ark One handles finding a home planet amidst all the chaos.

Not to be a messy viewer, but I think we can all agree that if this story were happening in reality, there would be far more rounds of musical beds.

Thankfully, The Ark is in good hands with Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner! The showrunners treat the series like their baby, and it shows.

With the finale ahead, I was brimming with questions for these two congenial gentlemen. While they couldn’t outright confirm my theories, they didn’t refute them either.

A win is a win in my book! If you read my review for The Ark Season 2 Episode 11, you know all too well who I’m putting my money on as the big bad.

However, Mr. Devlin and Glassner didn’t just have the finale to discuss. They also talked shop about their creative process and how they planned out this incredible season.

Check out the interview below!

As you can see, I was overjoyed to chat with these two again after our first interview. As always, they were so sweet and so fun!

Sadly, I only had the guys for a few minutes because I was bursting with questions.

I didn’t even get to ask if any of the cast members were scared while filming The Ark Season 2 Episode 5, “Museum of Death.” Time flies when you’re having fun!

However, there was no getting around bringing up Brice’s numerous shirtless scenes in The Ark Season 2 Episode 4, “The Other You.” That was one of the best episodes of the season.

And not just because you could grate cheese on Brice’s (Richard Fleeshman) abs.

I tried towards the end to get a little info about who The Ark One will be facing in the finale, but like seasoned professionals, they tip-toed around the question with the grace of someone who wants a renewal.

They aren’t the only ones, either. I’ve heard from many viewers about their hopes for the series, and I am one of them!

Dean and Jonathan had so much fun putting the fantastic story of The Ark Season 2 together. Even if this Syfy series doesn’t receive a renewal, The Ark is a show that can be rewatched again and again.

We’re coming up on the finish line, and I can only hope that the core cast makes it to the end. It would be great if the body count stopped rising. Losing Cat and Spencer (Reece Ritchie) was hard enough.

What questions would you have asked the showrunners of The Ark?

Who do you think is the big bad of Season 2?

Please drop a comment below to let me know, and join me again when I bring you another exclusive interview!
