Burial and Kode9 have shared a surprise split single, “Phoneglow” / “Eyes Go Blank,” with songs by the former and latter, respectively. Check out the tracks below via Kode9’s Hyperdub label; a 12″ release is imminent too, according to the Bandcamp page.
Burial and his longtime label head last collaborated on the 2023 EP Infirmary / Unknown Summer, a few years after teaming up for the FABRICLIVE 100 mix. In February, Burial had his first non-Hyperdub solo release in the form of Dreamfear / Boy Sent From Above for XL. Kode9, meanwhile, released his last full-length, Escapology, in 2022 and will play a handful of European festivals this summer.
