Will Smith’s Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett are back as Sony dropped a new trailer for Bad Boys 4 and gave it a new title: Bad Boys 4: Ride or Die. The pic which sees Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah reteaming comes out in theaters on June 7.
Already you know it’s going to be exciting when Lowrey and Burnett turn the tables on a quickie mart hold-up. The set-up in this cop movie iteration: their boss Captain Howard (Joe Pantoliano) has been framed as longtime drug smuggler.
There’s lot of burning cars, highway chases, big helicopters that go down, and strip clubs here, so expect the box office, which has been going along at a nice hum post strikes, to keep speeding along.
Similar to the Ghostbusters franchise recently, which Sony finally got past the $1 billion mark, expect the Culver City, CA lot to do the same here with the fourth installment of Bad Boys, the feature series currently counting $841M at the global box office.
Chris Bremner wrote the screenplays with Smith, Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, and Doug Belgrad producing.
The movie also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Nuñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith, Tiffany Haddish and Joe Pantoliano.
