Vampire Weekend Releasing New Live Album on Vinyl

Frog on the Bass Drum Vol. 01, recorded in June 2019 in Indianapolis, includes the band’s 10-minute cover of Bob Dylan’s “Jokerman”

Vampire Weekend are releasing a vinyl-only live album: Frog on the Bass Drum Vol. 01 includes songs the band played on tour in Indianapolis in June 2019. Only 2,500 copies of the LP have been pressed. The record was manufactured by Jack White’s Third Man Pressing in Detroit. See the tracklist below.

At the Indianapolis show, Vampire Weekend played songs from all four of their studio albums: their self-titled debut, Contra, Modern Vampires of the City, and Father of the Bride. The band also broke out a 10-minute cover of Bob Dylan’s Infidels opener, “Jokerman,” which is now getting its first official release. Plus, Ezra Koenig rapped some of “Pizza Party,” the premier song from his and Chris Tomson’s college rap group, L’Homme Run.
