Foo Fighters Were Going to Perform on SNL Before the Writers’ Strike

Labrinth had also been scheduled to appear on a now-canceled episode of Saturday Night Live

Foo Fighters and Labrinth were scheduled to perform as musical guests on May episodes of Saturday Night Live, but the shows have been canceled due to the current Writers Guild of America strike, Entertainment Weekly reports. White Lotus’ Jennifer Coolidge and Succession’s Kieran Culkin were set to host the episodes, according to the report.

Pete Davidson was gearing up to host this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Lil Uzi Vert, but that episode was canceled, too, due to the strike. Late-night programs such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert are also holding off on new episodes and airing re-runs in their respective time slots as the strike continues.

Foo Fighters are going to release the new album But Here We Are on June 2. It will be the band’s first record since drummer Taylor Hawkins died last year.

Last week, Labrinth released his album Ends & Begins. He recently performed one of the record’s singles, “Never Felt So Alone,” with Billie Eilish at Coachella.
