With little warning, Brownsville rapper Ka has released his new albums Languish Arts and Woeful Studies. They’re available to purchase on his website. Ka has also released the music video for the Languish Arts song “Ascension.” Watch it below; scroll down for that album’s artwork and tracklist.

Ka produced Languish Arts, and the album was recorded by Christopher Pummill at Studio City Sound in California. One of the LP’s tracks, “Unhinged,” was produced by Animoss and features Chuck Strangers. Another, “Still Holding,” was produced by Preservation and features Joi and GoneToHeaven.

Woeful Studies was also produced by Ka and recorded by Christopher Pummill at Studio City Sound in California. Guest contributors include Animoss (who produced “We Hurting” and “Counted Out”), Chuck Strangers (who raps on “Counted Out”), and Joi (who appears on “Building”).

Ka has now released solo albums three years running: Languish Arts follows last year’s A Martyr’s Reward and 2020’s Descendants of Cain. Check out “The 50 Best Albums of 2021,” featuring A Martyr’s Reward at No. 48.
