Sony’s Screen Gems is releasing the feature take of its Sony Playstation game Until Dawn on April 25, 2025.
David F. Sandberg directs off a recent draft by Gary Dauberman. Blair Butler wrote the previous draft. The pic stars The film stars Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Odessa A’zion, Maia Mitchell and Peter Stormare.
Until Dawn is a 2015 interactive drama horror game from Supermassive Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Players take control of eight young adults who have to survive on Blackwood Mountain when their lives are threatened. The game features a butterfly effect system in which players must make choices that may change the story. All playable characters can survive or die, depending on the choices made. Players explore the environment from a third-person POV and discover clues that help solve the mystery.
The movie is produced by Dauberman, Mia Maniscalco, Sandberg, Lotta Losten, Roy Lee, Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan. Charles Miller is executive producing.
On April 25 next year, Amazon MGM Studios has the Ben Affleck thriller The Accountant 2, while IFC has the wide release of an untitled Shudder movie.
