Björk and Rosalía have a new song on the way. The collaboration will “help the fight against fish farming in Iceland,” Björk said in a statement accompanying the news. She wrote that residents of the Icelandic town of Seyðisfjörður are protesting the plans’ “devastating effect on wildlife,” and that she and Rosalía “would like to donate sales of the song to help with their legal fees.” The song, as yet unnamed, is due out this month. Read Björk’s full statement below.
The song will be Björk’s first since releasing Fossora last year, though she has since remixed Shygirl’s “Woe” and shared Shygirl and Sega Bodega’s remix of “Ovule” from the record. Since releasing Motomami in early 2022, Rosalía has shared a host of new songs for Motomami+, as well as “LLYLM,” “Tuya,” and the collaborative EP RR with Rauw Alejandro.
