Lil Wayne has released a new song, “Kat Food,” produced by Charlie Handsome, FNZ, and Rogét Chahayed. Lil Wayne is slated to debut the single live next month at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he’ll perform on a show with a lineup that also includes Doja Cat, Demi Lovato, Anitta, Kelsea Ballerini, Karol G, Måneskin, and more. Listen to “Kat Food” below.

A slot at the VMAs is the latest in a long line of performances this year for Lil Wayne, who wrapped up a North American tour in May and took the stage at Yankee Stadium in June in a stacked concert celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. He released his most recent album, Funeral, in 2020. He shared the song “Kant Nobody,” which featured a posthumous verse from DMX, in February; the track earned him a VMA nomination for “Best Hip-Hop.” He was also honored with a Global Impact Award at the 2023 Grammys.
