Omar Apollo is releasing a new EP on October 6 via Warner. The first single from the Live for Me EP is “Ice Slippin,” and it comes with a music video that you can watch below.

Rubberband directed the new “Ice Slippin” video. Previously, the duo directed the visual for Apollo’s Ivory hit “Evergreen (You Didn’t Deserve Me at All).”

Apollo had teased his new single with ice sculptures in London, New York, and Los Angeles. He co-produced the new track with Teo Halm. Apollo said of his track in a press release, “‘Ice Slippin’ is about reliving the thoughts I had passing through my mind the winter I came out to my family. Receiving cold judgment as opposed to the acceptance I felt I deserved.” He added, “This song is a reflection and reaction of all the emotions I had to face before and after I decided to leave the icy streets of Indiana.”
