Andrew Bird has announced his new album Inside Problems with a video for his new song “Underlands.” The album is due out June 3 via Loma Vista. He also shared an eponymous companion film for the LP. Check out “Underlands,” the short film, and the full track list for Inside Problems below.

“Underlands” follows the previously released “Atomized” as the album’s second single. Inside Problems was produced by Mike Viola, recorded live by Andrew Bird and his four-piece band. Madison Cunningham provided additional vocal overdubs. “I have so much fun taking my ideas apart before they really have defined themselves as distinct songs, when they’re still in that amoeba-like state,” Bird said in a statement. “I love the feeling of chasing ideas and having them split off and go hang out with another idea and then butting them up against each other to see if they talk to each other.”

Bird recently appeared in the documentary Really Good Rejects; the film follows Los Angeles luthier Reuben Cox, who made the rare, rubber-bridged guitar Bird used to record “Underlands.” Bird kicks off a co-headlining summer tour with Iron & Wine in June.
