Destroyer: Labyrinthitis [Merge]
Dan Bejar is back with his latest Destroyer LP. Labyrinthitis follows 2020’s Have We Met. Bejar wrote most of the LP in 2020 and recorded it the following spring during the height of isolation. He created Labyrinthitis with longtime collaborator and producer John Collins and the Destroyer band. Bejar and Collins swapped ideas remotely—Bejar posted up at home in Vancouver, and Collins on Galiano Island. Bejar shared “Tintoretto, It’s for You,” “Eat the Wine, Drink the Bread,” and “June” ahead of the album. Aldous Harding: Warm Chris [4AD]
Warm Chris is the fourth album from enigmatic singer-songwriter Aldous Harding. The follow-up to 2019’s critically acclaimed Designer features production from John Parish, who has worked with PJ Harvey, Jenny Hval, and more. Harding is known for her off-kilter music videos, and she shared visuals for lead single “Lawn” and “Fever” in the lead-up to Warm Chris’ release. Koffee: Gifted [Sony Music UK/RCA]
After much anticipation, 22-year-old reggae and dancehall artist Koffee has issued her debut album. Gifted follows her Grammy-winning 2019 EP Rapture and includes previous singles “Lockdown,” “West Indies,” and “Pull Up,” which she recently performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Soul Glo: Diaspora Problems [Epitaph/Secret Voice]
Diaspora Problems is the first album from Philadelphia hardcore outfit Soul Glo for Epitaph. They wrote Diaspora Problems between 2016 to 2021 and recorded it in an unfinished warehouse and their practice space last summer. Read Pitchfork’s Best New Track review of lead single “Jump!! Maren Morris: Humble Quest [Columbia Nashville]
Country singer Maren Morris wrote her new album Humble Quest alongside her husband Ryan Hurd, Julia Michaels, Jimmy Robbins, Natalie Hemby, Laura Veltz, and Jon Green. The record is partly dedicated to her late friend and collaborator Michael Busbee, and a portion of it was recorded on his piano. Humble Quest spans 11 tracks and includes her recent single “Circles Around This Town.” The LP follows 2019’s Girl.

Denzel Curry: Melt My Eyez See Your Future [Loma Vista]
Following his fantastic 2019 LP Zuu, Denzel Curry is back with Melt My Eyez See Your Future. The star-studded album includes contributions from T-Pain, Thundercat, Rico Nasty, 6lack, J.I.D, Slowthai, Robert Glasper, producer and prior Curry collaborator Kenny Beats, and others. Earlier this year, Curry shared the Kal Banx–produced single “Walkin” along with a sci-fi Western music video directed by Adrian Villagomez.

Camp Cope: Running With the Hurricane [Run for Cover]
Melbourne rock trio Camp Cope are back with their third full-length, Running With the Hurricane. The album gets its title from Australian folk group Redgum’s song of the same name. (Camp Cope vocalist Georgia Maq’s father was a member of the band.) Running With the Hurricane follows Camp Cope’s 2018 record How to Socialise & Make Friends and Maq’s 2019 solo debut Pleaser. Ibibio Sound Machine: Electricity [Merge]
Electricity is the fourth album from Ibibio Sound Machine, the group led by London-born, Lagos-raised singer Eno Williams. It follows 2017’s Uyai and 2019’s Doko Mien. The new record was produced by Hot Chip, and includes the singles “All That You Want,” “Protection From Evil,” and “Electricity.”

Guerilla Toss: Famously Alive [Sub Pop]
New York group Guerilla Toss are back with Famously Alive, their first album for Sub Pop after years on DFA. Back in January, Guerilla Toss dropped lead single “Cannibal Capital” along with a music video directed by Lisa Schatz. The group’s previous LP, Twisted Crystal, landed in 2018.

Isik Kural: In February [RVNG Intl.]
In February is the latest from Glasgow-based artist Isik Kural. The 13-track LP “documents the everyday poetry in the passing and returning of time,” as it’s noted in a press release. Kural wrote and performed all of the songs on In February, with the exception of “Coral Gables,” “Yeniden,” and “Berceuse,” which were written and performed by Kural and Stephanie Roxanne Ward.
