Donald Glover’s TV series Atlanta finally has a premiere date for its third season, nearly four years after it was renewed. The first two episodes of Season 3 will air on March 24, 2022 via FX and will stream the next day on Hulu. The rest of the 10-episode season will come out weekly.
Earlier this fall, a teaser trailer for Atlanta’s third season surfaced online. Season 3 takes place almost entirely in Europe as Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred/Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) go on a European tour. While navigating their new surroundings as outsiders in the country, they struggle to adjust to their success. Back in 2019, before production on Season 3 even began, Atlanta was renewed for a fourth season as well.
The second season of Atlanta, dubbed “Robbin’ Season,” aired in 2018. It included an entire episode about Drake (which made the rapper geek out), a reference to that viral “Christian mom” video about Vince Staples, and the 41-minute-long episode “Teddy Perkins” that Glover went through great lengths to pull off. The season also included new music from Thundercat and Flying Lotus.
